Introduction
apt.jpg Welcome to the official website for Four Seasons, a short narrative film written and directed by Andrew P. Alderete.  This website functions as a 'live' production blog for all aspects of the project including production diaries, streaming media, and other interesting information.  With the script being finished in October of 2007, the main focus now is pre-production.  If you have any questions, feel free to contact us at any time.

In many aspects, this is a project that fuses narrative with some experimental techniques.  Completely inspired by Alex Kanevsky, this originated with one simple emotion in mind: fear.  Fear is a mechanism by which we all are guided into specific paths/directions.  It's one of the most primal and innate emotions that is rooted in the evolution of our species, in parallel with most living things on Earth.  However, it's what we do with this fear that makes us uniquely human.  In retrospect, this piece will be the first part of a two-part series of films.  One that deals with fear, while the other deals with loss and memory.  So welcome, to Part 1 - Four Seasons.

About The Film
resized-nhg.jpg Betrayal.  Tension.  Silence.  Routine.

This is a story about Steve , a middle-aged average lawyer who is living with a mistake – the mistake of cheating on his pregnant wife Elena during a business trip in New York City.  In dealing with the dichotomy of her pregnancy and his betrayal, he rushes at every opportunity to meet with clients at his law firm, even disregarding scheduled plans with Elena.  On one day, however, he does not realize that he is being watched by Mr. Austin , the husband of his ex-lover.  Steve also does not realize that Mr. Austin is one of his newly appointed clients, purposefully approaching him for revenge.  In a miasma of cascading and traumatic events spawned by his mistake, Four Seasons is a story about our hollow pursuits of happiness, and the growing manifestations of fear in our minds.  Are we victims of these manifestations, or the actions that define us?
